Power-based relations within MEU Konstanz 2008

Who do you think or know is the president of the European Parliament? It´s Mr. Hans-Gert Pöttering from the EPP- ED (European People´s Party- European Democrats).

Who do you think or know is the president of the European Commission? It´s Mr. José Manuel Durão Barroso from the EPP-ED.

Who do you think or know is the European Commissioner for Education and Culture? It´s Mr. Ján Figeľ from the...surprise...total surprise...the EPP-ED.

Who is the sponsor of the MEU Konstanz 2008? Oh, Mr. Figel from the EPP-ED? Oh, is it really Mr. Figel who heads the Youth in Action programme by means of which MEU Konstanz 2008 takes place?

How surprising...

And now the hardcore information

Without mentioning any name of the MEU Konstanz 2008 participants, I must say that I framed some statistics for the power-based relations within the MEU Konstanz 2008.
68 participants according to the Organizers. 2 persons are missing from the list (the Simulation is supposed to have 70 participants) because, Organizers told me in an email, they cancelled their participance (as the Germans say, and we, the stupid Romanians, say participation).

Within 25(!) countries represented so far in the MEU Konstanz 2008 Simulation Game
there are 2 countries with 3 parliamentary representatives
there are 3 countries with 2 parliamentary representatives
there are 20 countries with 1 parliamentary representative
there are 2 countries with no parliamentary representative (and 5 Bulgarians in the 68 participants-list...)

Could you please guess the roles given to the German students from the UNI Konstanz? Yeap, you were right. They were given mainly the roles of one the first class- countries (France, Poland, Spain, Great Britain, among which is also Germany...).

EPP-ED-MEU Konstanz/ PSE- MEU Konstanz= almost the same as in the real European Parliament
EPP-ED-MEU Konstanz/ Liberals-MEU Konstanz= 2.16
EPP-ED- real European Parliament/ Liberals- real European Parliament= 2.75
EPP-ED-MEU Konstanz/ Greens- MEU Konstanz= 4.33
EPP-ED-real European Parliament/ Liberals- real European Parliament= 6.76
